Customer Ordering Instructions

1. Choose Your Keepsake
Browse the collection and select the design you love.

• If you’d like more than one of the same design, adjust the quantity in your cart.
• If you want different designs, simply add each one to your cart separately.

2. Select End Caps & Fittings

• Choose between polished or hammered sterling silver end caps (where available).
• Select your preferred clasp or keychain fitting depending on your chosen piece

3. Add Charms & Personal Touches

• Personalise your keepsake with a range of sterling silver charms
• Each charm is individually priced and will be added to your total.
• Engraved heart pendants can hold up to 20 characters (including spaces). They feature a small horseshoe on the back as standard - type “None” in the Notes box if you’d prefer it plain.

4.Use the Notes Section
On Your Cart page, you’ll see a Notes box. This is where you can tell me:

• A custom size (if different from the standard)
• If you’d like the safety chain removed (bracelets only)
• If you are including more than one hair or fur sample per item
• Any other details or requests

5. Place Your Order

Once everything is in your cart, go to Checkout.
Your payment details are securely stored, but you won’t be charged until your keepsake is complete, approved, and ready to return home - giving you full peace of mind while I lovingly create your piece.

⚠️ Important: Please post your hair or fur sample within 5 days of ordering to ensure your jewellery can be completed on time.

You’ll receive:

• An instant confirmation email with your order details and posting instructions
• A second email when your hair or fur sample arrives safely.
• A final message with a photo of your finished keepsake and notice that payment is about to be processed.

Collect Your Hair Sample

No need to wash the hair - I will gently clean and prepare all equine hair upon arrival (pet fur is used as sent)

Tip: If your sample is irreplaceable, keep a little back for peace of mind.

Tail Hair (Horse or Pony)

• Cut hair from the underside of the tail near the dock so it’s less noticeable.
• I need at least 43cm (17") of hair - enough to wrap around your wrist twice and as thick as your thumb - for all braided items (bracelets, keychains, necklaces).
• Secure with a band at the cut end and leave loose; (please don’t plait, braid, or tie the full length, as this can cause kinks).

Tail Hair (Donkey)

• Donkey tail hair is naturally shorter, finer, and less abundant than horse hair.
• Not suitable for braided keepsakes like bracelets or keychains, but perfect for a tail hair tassel.
• Please send as much as you can spare for the best result, secured at the cut end with a band.

Mane/Forelock Hair:

• Ideal for tassels when tail hair is limited.
• Send as much as possible for the best result, secured at the cut end with a band

Tassels:

• Perfect when less hair is available.
• As standard, tassels are made to 14 cm in length (subject to hair length supplied) - you can trim yours to your preferred length once it’s home.
• If your sample is shorter or finer, I’ll still use every strand - no hair is ever wasted.

Pet Fur:

• Only a small pinch is needed for resin keepsakes.
• Resin beads can be created from any beloved animal companion - whether horse, pony, donkey, dog, cat, or smaller pets - so you can keep them close always.

Please note: as hair is a natural material, each keepsake may show subtle variations in colour or texture. These natural differences are part of what make your piece truly unique.

Sending Your Sample

Place your hair or fur in a sealed bag with your:

• Name
• Order number
• Return Address

Post in a padded, tracked envelope to the address in your order confirmation email.

If you’re local to Bury, Manchester, drop-off or collection can be arranged by appointment.

Once you’ve sent it, you’re welcome to email or DM me so I can watch for its arrival.
Any unused hair or fur will always be returned with your keepsake.

Crafting, Approval & Delivery

Crafting: Once your sample arrives, I’ll confirm by email. Please allow 10–14 working days from that date for me to create your keepsake.

Approval: I’ll send you a photo of your finished keepsake for approval before processing payment.

Delivery:Free UK delivery via Royal Mail Tracked.
International shipping available (delivery times vary; customs duties may apply outside the UK).

Every keepsake is unique: as hair is a natural material, slight variations in braid, bead, or tassel appearance are expected - and are what make your piece one of a kind.

Seasonal Note: During busier times such as Christmas, turnaround may take a little longer. I’ll always keep you updated and do my best to meet important dates.
